Sporting Events

Sporting events are a highlight on our school calendar with the following events held each year.

• Interschool Swimming Carnival

• Interschool Athletics Carnival

• Mary Morgan Cross Country

• Narrogin District Primary Schools Interschool Cross Country Carnival 

The Interschool Swimming Carnival is held in Term One in which we compete against neighbouring schools, Dumbleyung Primary School and Nyabing Primary School. 

To help the event run smoothly, the school seeks volunteers to help fill positions. However, volunteers can also get involved in the Parent/Student race - a fun and exciting event held at the Interschool Swimming Carnival each year. 

The Interschool Athletics Carnival is held in Term 3 in which students from Kukerin Primary School will compete against Nyabing Primary School and Broomehill Primary School. 

Each school hosts the carnival at their school on a three year rotation basis. To help the event run smoothly the school seeks parent volunteers to help fill positions.

All students excluding Kindergarten students participate in both the Swimming and Athletics Carnival.

Term 2 also sees all students participate in Mary Morgan Cross Country held at Nenke Park in Kukerin. This event is named after past student Mary Morgan a successful ultramarathon runner. Distances and age groups are as follows,

• Kindergarten, Pre Primary and Year 1 - 400m race

• Year 2, 3  and 4 – 800m race

• Year 5 and 6 – 1600m race

Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 who place highly and record a qualifying time, may go on to represent the school at an Interschool Cross Country Carnival in Narrogin.
